Our pool is licensed to operate in accordance with Anne Arundel County Code, Article 11, Title 14 of 2005. That means:
- Our pool has an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) on site and is compliant with Connor's Law. County Executive John R. Leopold signed emergency legislation on July 6, 2012, which requires AEDs at all public and semi-public swimming pools in Anne Arundel County. All our lifeguards are trained in the operation of the AED.
- Our pool managers have received formal training and are county-certified in pool operations, including: water chemistry, equipment operation, pool administration and statutory requirements.
- Prior to opening for the season our pool is inspected by a county health officer. The inspection covers machinery testing, site cleanliness, verification of required documentation and an inventory of safety equipment. A written certification by this officer is required prior to opening, and throughout the season we are subject to unannounced visits by county inspectors to ensure we maintain compliance.
- At all times during operating hours we maintain a lifeguard. Our guards possess a valid lifeguard certificate from the American Red Cross, Young Men's/Women’s Christian Association, the Boy/Girl Scouts of America, or similar organizations recognized by the County Health Department. To receive this certification our guards must also be certified in CPR and first aid training.
We want your family’s summer fun to be safe and enjoyable!
